Full Moon wo Sagashite

This manga is not well known but I really like. It's called Full Moon wo Sagashite

HISTORY
Mitsuki Koyama is a talented singer who dreams of becoming a pop idol, but she is afflicted with sarcoma, which is curable only through a surgery that could cost her vocal cords and her ability to sing. The tumor in her throat also affects her ability to breathe well and sing loudly. On top of that, her grandmother hates music, and is completely opposed to Mitsuki's wish to audition. Her dreams seem impossible to achieve, until one day she is visited by two shingami whom only she can see. Without knowing Mitsuki can see and hear them, they discuss how she only has one year left to live.
Realizing she cannot wait any longer to fulfill her dream, she runs away from her house and the shinigami to try to audition for a singing competition. However, the shinigami catch her before she is able to audition. Mitsuki moves one of the shinigami, Takuto, to make a deal with her—if she goes quietly when her one year is up, he will help her become a singer so that she may leave the world without any regrets. He gives her the ability to transform into a healthy 16-year-old self who is not encumbered by a throat tumor. Though there is much competition, she is able to win over the judges with her enthusiasm for singing and her excellent voice. To conceal her true identity, she chooses the stage name Fullmoon.
Mitsuki decided to become a singer two years before the shinigami's arrival, when she was 10 years old. She made a promise with Eichi Sakurai, then a 16-year-old boy she met in her orphanage, that the next time they met, they would both be closer to their dreams. Eichi wanted to become an astronomer and Mitsuki wanted to become a singer. Shortly after, Eichi was adopted and emigrated to America before Mitsuki could express her feelings for him. Mitsuki hopes that by becoming a famous idol, Eichi will be able to hear her sing and realize her feelings for him.
Shortly after her first audition to become a singer, the plot of the manga and anime of this series separate. The two stories share common themes, but events develop differently as the series advances. In addition, several of the characters in the anime have different histories and personalities from their manga counterparts.

CHARACTERS

Mitsuki Koyama

Mitsuki Koyama is the protagonist and who is going to die in a year because of that tumor in his throat, his parents are dead so long he was orphaned in childhood more than anything, because his grandmother did not want take care of her. Mitsuki is a very sweet girl, innocent and fun. This love with Eichi-kun (who is dead and she knows perfectly)Mitsuki has the ability, thanks to Takuto, to transform into Full Moon (a singer who rose to fame for her beauty and her beautiful voice).

Full Moon

Full Moon is the alter-ego of Mitsuki. Mitsuki needs to ponder this appearance singing walk without problems, since it takes the appearance of a 16 years and can use your voice to the fullest.Takuto is the Shinigami who gives him this wish to Mitsuki, after telling herself she wanted in the background to be a real singer and to participate in the casting to see if it was selected in a contest (in which he won) but she believed Takuto not win and that only he was serving a whim to small. Obviously he was wrong and completely baffled that I leave to the jury and himself. Takuto from that day to the roar that turns your fingers.

Takuto

Takuto is Shingami-angel of death "at the end of love with Mitsuki (the protagonist of the story) and discovers that Takuto was suicide and that in his past life was a singer ... He is tall with blue eyes, has a hat with kitty ears on, it becomes shaped cat toys when in trouble. No one can see a Shinigami(if someone comes to see one that means it will die shortly, so it's Mitsuki could see.)Takuto be characterized as very serious and somewhat stubborn, and internally is very tender when Mitsuki hates talking about Eichi-kun, because he is very fond of her.

Eichi

Eichi-kun: is Mitsuki's first love, he was an orphan as he met Mitsuki in the orphanage where he became good friends until they both fell in love but he never said it and she did not know until he had to go to the U.S. with her adoptive family. Unfortunately dies on that trip and Mitsuki found out through the newspapers, but still retained that feeling of love for him.

Keiichi Wakaouji

Wakaouji is Mitsuki's doctor (who is responsible for seeing it for the tumor in the throat). It is a very serious person who cares much for Mitsuki (because it is the daughter of one of his best friends, Aoi .. although he is dead). In the past he served on the panel ROUTE: L, was bearish. But she left the group to study medicine. I managed to get their degree and today is a great doctor.

Meroko

Meroko: Takuto is the companion is a pink haired girl becomes big hat Bunny gets into trouble when she is in love with Izumi-kun but when you have some 'trouble' is Separated and then she is in charge of Takuto to their missions (killing people or rather 'take' their souls to take to the sky) but with time she'll fall in love with Takuto and when you give the mission to take Mitsuki's soul realizes that its 'companion' be fond of his 'victims' (Mitsuki) and this causes big messes in the series by the infernal jealousy Meroko.

Madoka

Madoka is the rival of Full Moon. It is a well known and famous singer, envy has great charisma Mistuki (now become to Full moon) with the press and the public. Save a sad past (as all of the series), but despite showing a way of being so cold (with all those who loved not their audience) she really is very fragile and tender.

Aoi

Aoi is Mitsuki's father. While living he was a famous singer, a group called ROUTE: L

Izumi

Izumi is a Shinigami. Her look is always very serious because he is, not very happy he is seen in the anime, is somewhat ironic, and is always accompanied by a ghost named Jhonatan. Hide a cold, after which you do not want to remember, and he suspects all have very fond Meroko (with whom he had an affair in the past, being shinigami). This is one of the shinigami more daring, not afraid of almost nothing.
Ooshige-san

Ooshige-san is the manager of Full Moon. She's very alive and very cheerful. As a young man participated in the group and was a fan of ROUTE Ouji-kun (Wakaouji) and note that his personality has never changed since, then he always carried his peculiar positivity in everything. It's very nice to Full Moon and all in general, the series discovers (after about as many chapters) that Full Moon is actually Mitsuki and since then she is more concerned because he knows the reasons for acting so strange in some occasions. It is true that in the manga she never knew what shinigami of Mitsuki, but in the anime itself.
